Memmi is a small product built by a parent, for parents. Your family's photos, voice notes, and memories belong to your family. This page explains, in normal English, what we collect, why, and the controls you have. This page is maintained by the Memmi team.
What you give us
- Account info: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo.
- Family content: the photos, videos, voice notes, and written moments you save. This is the whole reason Memmi exists.
- Optional details: family members, nicknames, and favorites you add to help Memmi write in your family's voice.
What we do with it
- Store your moments securely so you and the family members you invite can see them.
- Transcribe voice notes and generate scrapbook drafts using AI. Draft text is created for your review, then saved for your family.
- Send only the emails you'd expect: sign-in links, invites you start, and edition notifications you opt into.
We do not sell your data. We do not train public AI models on your family's content. We do not show ads.
Who can see your memories
By default, only you. When you invite family members, they see the family you invited them to. When you share an edition, only people with the private share link can view it. You can revoke a share link any time from the edition's share controls.
Where it lives
Memmi runs on managed cloud infrastructure with encrypted storage and encrypted connections. AI features (transcription and drafting) are provided by third-party model providers under agreements that prohibit training on your content.
Analytics & cookies
We use privacy-friendly product analytics (PostHog) to understand which features people use so we can make Memmi better. We do not sell this data, and we do not use it for advertising. Analytics events do not include your photos, voice notes, or the contents of your moments. Your browser stores a session cookie so you stay signed in.
Your controls
- Export: download your family's content any time from Account Settings.
- Delete a moment or edition: in the app, any time.
- Delete your account: from Account Settings. This removes your account, families you own, and their content.
- Unsubscribe from email: use the link in any email, or turn off notifications in Account Settings.
Children
Memmi is designed for parents to record memories about their children; it is not designed for use by children. Only invited adults have accounts.
Changes
If we make a meaningful change to this page, we'll email account holders before it takes effect.
